Kalau beberapa tahun yang lalu saya sangat tergila-gila dengan musik jazz sehingga banyak postingan saya membahas mengenai lagu-lagu jazz, sekarang saya tergila-gila dengan aliran musik post-rock. Hampir sebulan ini di dalam playlist saya yang ada hanya lagu-lagu post-rock. Hehe, sedang antusias sepertinya. Dari this will destroy you, maybeshewill, joy wants eternity, lymbic system, nyctalgia hingga the best pessimist.
Saya mengerti kalau golongan musik seperti ini bukan merupakan golongan musi mainstream yang didengar oleh pendengar awam dan saya yakin sangat asing di telinga masyarakat. Bahkan di tempat kelahirannya, Inggris, hanya beberapa kelompok tertentu yang memainkan golongan lagu post-rock. Dan saya berbagi di blog ini untuk memperkenalkan jenis musik seperti ini dan mencari orang-orang yang bisa mengapresiasinya.
Nytalgia adalah salah satu band pengusung aliran post-rock yang berasal dari Basel, Swiss. Saya baru mendengar satu albumnya saja dan sejauh yang saya dengar lagu-lagunya bersifat suram dan melankolis. Favorit saya adalah Falling into nothingness

Band post-rock yang berasal dari ukraina ini telah mengeluarkan empat album dan termasuk yang paling saya favoritkan selain this will destroy you. Berbeda dengan nyctalgia yang suram, the best pessimist memiliki lagu-lagu yang menurut saya sejuk. Favorit saya adalah walking with happiness dan the silence will never left us.. goodbye my reliance.

Saya memiliki orang tua penggemar musik. Si papa? Si papa penyuka Jim reeves, everlasting love songs dan segala lagu batak yang heboh itu. Mama? beruntung selera mama agak lebih baik, mungkin darah saya lebih kental dengan beliau. Si mama penyuka piano tunggal, musik-musik bertipe new age ( walaupun beliau tidak tahu apa itu new age ), dan klasik serta tidak jauh lagi dengan si papa, lagu batak.
Ya, saya juga pecinta musik-musik sejenis, saya suka dengan piano tunggal, saya suka dengan orkestra, saya suka dengan baroque. Bagi saya, tipe musik demikian yang tanpa lirik bisa membuat saya berimajinasi tentang apapun, tanpa batas.
Kevin Kern, salah satu pianis bergenre new age, yang membuat saya pertama kali jatuh cinta pada album iRelax in traffic. Pianis buta ini membuat saya menyukai setiap dentingan tuts pianonya, harmonis sekali menurut saya. Perhaps someday he’ll show in Indonesia and i’m available to attend the show, encore!
Pertama kali dengar lagu ini, ada di album various artist good morning tunes yang bergenre easy listening jazz. Saya langsung suka. Smooth, cacthy, gentle. Sesuai dengan albumnya, lagu ini pas sekali kalau didengarkan di pagi hari, tidak berat dan nyaman di telinga.

I’m ‘fraid of loosing and still I go
Yngwie Malmsten, who is in this world that doesn’t know his name? He is one of great guitarist in the universe. His style is rock. Actually, i don’t really enjoy song that has too much rock. But his album, Concerto Suite For Electric Guitar And Orchestra, is the most favourite for me. It’s soooo gothic!
Fusioning hard electric guitar and soft orchestra, for me, is very cool! It’s too awesome! When i work at late night, i usually play this album, on and on and never get bored.
Anyway, until this time, i have only seen my brother plays any classic guitar, but not any live concert. Perhaps, someday i’m able to attend a live concert.

Actually i love the orchestra or classic songs since i was in junior high school. I believed that the song would improve my intelligence, but it worked dude!
Mozart – oboe concerto is one of my favourite. Perhaps, someday Mahawaditra UI will perform this song.
